Deadly Premonition 2 Will Be A ‘Switch Exclusive At Launch’

During the September 2019 Nintendo Direct, Deadly Premonition Origins and Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise were announced for the Nintendo Switch. Given the original game was a multiplatform title, people may have wondered if versions on other systems would be possible. Push Square has heard from Brjánn Sigurgeirsson, Rising Star Games’ Co-Founder, who told the outlet that Deadly Premonition 2 will be a “Switch exclusive at launch.”

While the full quotes were not provided, an additional comment was noted. Sigurgeirsson also said the company was “not discussing other platforms at this stage.”

In addition, Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro, the designer, director, and writer of the original game, has been talking and tweeting about Deadly Premonition 2 since its reveal. He will again be acting as the director and writer for the sequel. He released the following statement.

“Roughly 10 years have passed since the original was released in 2010. Now, a miracle has happened, and I have a chance to reunite with my best friend -  something I never thought would be possible.

I’m working hard day and night while also looking back on the past to make sure this becomes something that doesn’t change no matter how much time passes, while also adapting to and interlocking with the current era – a game that encompasses all. Please get yourself a cup of coffee and wait for it to be completed!”
