Nintendo Switch Surpasses 10 Million Units Sold In Japan

Nintendo announced that the Nintendo Switch family of consoles, which includes the standard Switch and Switch Lite, has surpassed the 10 million units sold milestone in Japan.

 

As of November 3, 2019, the Switch family has sold 10 million units in Japan. The number consist of sales from the standard Nintendo Switch which first released in March 2017 and the Nintendo Switch Lite that released this past September as a lighter and portable-focused device.

 

Nintendo recently revealed that the current worldwide sales figure for Switch is at 41.67 million so about a quarter of all Switch sales come from Japan. As for the Switch Lite, it helped in worldwide sell-through which you can read about here.

The Nintendo Switch released on March 3, 2017. For its next big release we have Pokémon Sword & Shield arriving on November 15, 2019.
