HoYoVerse is about to tell us more about the 4.2 patch for Honkai: Star Rail, as it confirmed the Special Program will stream on YouTube on April 10, 2026. We’ll be able to tune in at 4:30am PT/7:30am ET/1:30pm CET to learn what’s on the way. This will involve details on an alt for Silver Wolf, new character Evanescia, and the continuing Planarcadia and Aha storyline. As usual, there will also be new events and some codes for Stellar Jades.

We honestly know quite a bit about the new characters appearing in the Honkai: Star Rail update, thanks to drip marketing for Silver Wolf and Evanescia. The new version of the Stellaron Hunter is referred to as LV 999. It is still a five-star unit. However, it is an Elation one that deals Imaginary damage, compared to the original weakness-exploiting Nihility unit that dealt Quantum damage. Evanescia is also a five-star Elation character, though she deals Physical damage. That unit bears a remarkable resemblance to the Honkai Impact 3rd character Sakura, due to the bunny ears and sakura blossom motif, as well as Yae Miko from Genshin Impact due to her pink fox.

The placeholder for the 4.2 Honkai: Star Rail “So Laughed the Masses” Special Program stream is already live on YouTube. Here’s the page:

At the moment, Ashveil is the big deal in Honkai: Star Rail. His banner is available until the end of the 4.1 patch. However on April 8, 2026, we’ll also see a rerun banner for Boothill.

Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the 4.2 Special Program Stream will air at 4:30am PT/7:30am ET/1:30pm CET on April 10, 2026 ahead of the expected April 22, 2026 release of the new version.
