First, the 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors port was confirmed at a Zero Escape series panel on July 2, 2016. The game’s director, Kotaro Uchikoshi, even said, “It looks like a STEAMship.” It was followed by a tweet saying, “Sorry. Maybe my previous tweet should have been written as follows. ‘It looks like a vital steamship.’ Thank you!”

999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors is available on the Nintendo DS and iOS devices. Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward is available on the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita.
