1997 Berserk Anime to Appear on Blu-Ray in 2024

During the It’s a Very Big Discotek New Year’s live stream, Discotek announced plenty of upcoming Blu-Ray releases of retro anime, including one of the classic 1997 Berserk series. The full list of announcements can be read via the company’s Twitter account.

The 1997 Berserk Blu-Ray will feature HD scans and some improved subtitles. Though there have been newer releases of Berserk since then, none have been as beloved as the original series. It’ll be in Japanese and English, with the English using the original NYAV Post dub. The Blu-Ray will also come with extras from past releases and outtakes. The whole series will come in two discs, which have the silhouettes of Guts and Griffith, respectively, on them.

  • Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple: The Attack of Darkness
  • Lupin the 3rd: Princess of the Breeze
  • Lupin the 3rd: The Secret Page of Marco Polo
  • Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A’s
  • Mazinkaiser: The OVA Collection
  • Medabots Spirit Japanese version
  • Reborn Special Fan Disc with OVA and 3 episodes dubbed in English
  • Sergeant Frog Seasons 5, 6, 7
  • Urusei Yatsura: The OVA Series

Discotek will release the 1997 Berserk Blu-Ray set in March 2024. You’ll be able to purchase it via Discotek then.
