Rin Matsui is the mangaka behind the new series. It suggests that evolution isn’t as straightforward as people may think. A young man named Gaku Hachiue is a part of a government volunteer trip to the Galapagos Islands with an array of other individuals from various backgrounds. Ten years ago, there was a toxic explosion there. People sent to investigate a year later never returned. So now a ragtag group is being sent to investigate and rescue any possible survivors over the next month for a life-changing amount of money. However, they soon learn just how dangerous the trip will be.

This now marks the third new Shonen Jump manga to debut in February 2024. The first was Astro Babyat the beginning of the month. Super Psychic Policeman Chojofollowed that. Also, prior to those two new releases, 2024 started off with the Kaiju No 8: B-Sidespin-off starting its run and showing Soshiro Hoshina’s background.

The next new chapter ofthe Dear Anemone manga will appear on February 25, 2024.
