Blizzard is gearing up for the release of the latest hero for Overwatch 2 players in Season 10. Venture is the next star of the free-to-play competitive FPS title. Ahead of their free trial and full release on April 16, 2024, we now know the Overwatch 2 Venture voice actor and full kit.
Who is the voice actor for Venture in Overwatch 2?
Sadly, the Overwatch 2 Venture voice actor is unknown at this time. This is due to the fact that Venture is only out in early access during the free trial period for a limited time. It is likely we will find out who voices them when Season 10 drops on April 16, 2024. We’ll be sure to update you with the official voice actor once we know. That said, it is likely that Venture’s voice actor is a recognized person, if past heroes are anything to go off of.
I, personally, hear similarities between Venture and the person who provided the voice of Ken Amada in Persona 3 Reload, Justine Lee, but we will have to wait and see.
Overwatch 2 Venture kit explained
Fortunately, what we do know is how Venture will play in Overwatch 2, as their full kit was revealed and explained. Here are all of the abilities that Venture uses in battle as this Gurren Lagann-like drill damage user:
- Smart Excavator Weapon: This will launch a seismic charge that bursts after a short distance.
- Tectonic Shock Ultimate: It shoots out damaging shockwaves.
- Explorer’s Resolve Passive: Any time Venture uses their abilities, they gain temporary shields.
- Clobber Ability: Their quick melee deals more damage.
- Burrow Ability: The player digs underground and then becomes invulnerable for a short time. They are then able to emerge to deal damage to nearby foes.
- Drill Dash Ability: Venture dashes forward, pushing enemies back in the process.
Venture looks to be quite the versatile miner-style damage hero. They are able to do a bit of crowd control at times with Drill Dash, deal some serious damage with their ultimate, and even survive for longer with Burrow.
Overwatch 2 is available right now for free for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Venture has a free trial March 28-31, 2024, with a full release date on April 16, 2024.
