How to unlock the Ring of Mercy in Palworld

To get the Ring of Mercy in Palworld, you must be at least level 19 to unlock its crafting recipe in the Technology menu using two Ancient Technology Points. You get Ancient Technology Points from defeating Tower Bosses, Dungeon Bosses, and Alpha Pals across Palpagos Island.

Once you have the Ring of Mercy crafting recipe, you’ll need to make it at a High Quality Workbench at your Base.

How to craft the Ring of Mercy

To craft the Ring of Mercy in Palworld, you need the following materials:

  • 30 Ingots.
  • 20 Paldium Fragments.
  • 5 Ancient Civilization Parts.

Ingots are crafted at a Primitive Furnace using Ore and a Pal with the Kindling Work Suitability, and Paldium Fragments can be mined from the blue rocks found throughout the Palpagos Island map. Where it gets a bit tougher is Ancient Civilization Parts, which are dropped by Alpha Pals and Bosses. I personally prefer to go around the map defeating Alpha Pals, but either way works.

Once you have the required materials, you can craft the Ring of Mercy at a High Quality Workbench in Palworld.

How to use the Ring of Mercy in Palworld

The Ring of Mercy functions very similarly to the False Swipe TM in the Pokémon series. You’ll equip the Ring of Mercy in Palworld to prevent knocking a Pal out, instead capping it at 1HP. Why would you want to do this, you may ask? It’s essential for players who want to complete their Paldeck, as the lower a Pal’s health is, the easier it is to catch them, and you literally cannot get any lower than 1HP.

I’d recommend using the Ring of Mercy when facing a tough Boss or a Legendary Pal such as Frostallion as it significantly increases their capture rate if they’re at 1 HP. Just remember to equip it first by clicking on it in your inventory.

Palworld is now available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
