The costumes you’ll be able to see at the exhibition include those for the Resistance and YoRHA characters. The stage play, which first appeared in Japan in October 2014, chronologically takes place between NieR and NieR Automata. It portrays the Pearl Harbor Descent Mission, which was an important battle that NieR Automata alludes to through dialogue and notes.

While the outfits the characters in the YoRHa stage play wear are similar to what the YoRHa androids have in NieR Automata proper, there are a few differences. For example, No. 2 lacks the cleavage window and slit of 2B’s dress. No. 2’s dress also has a more intricate design around the waist area compared to 2B’s.

As for the NieR 15th anniversary exhibition, it’ll take place from August 9 to 31, 2025 at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro. You can purchase tickets from the website, and they start at 2,200 JPY ($15). Aside from the stage play costumes, the exhibition will also display a life-sized Mama from NieR Reincarnation, a model of the Grimoire Weiss from NieR Replicant, and models of the weapons and pods from NieR Automata.

NieR Automata is readily available on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC.
