Nijisanji English Vtuber Scarle Yonaguni abruptly canceled a stream on August 17, 2025, only sharing a social media post that said, “ER. No stream today.” She then shared a message explaining it was caused by cardiomyopathy. Though she said she wouldn’t stream, she then did appear for about an hour on YouTube to explain what happened.

Here is Scarle’s statement gong over what happened and her absence for much of the day. She noted that “chest pains and heart palpitations” preceded the incident. She went to the ER for further investigations, let people know she is being treated, and apologized for possibly worrying people.

During the most recent Scarle stream, the Nijisanji Vtuber went over the situation with a few extra details. She explained she experienced anxiety and chest pains, and that it had been going on for a bit longer. When she visited with her family, she  noted it was worse than usual. So much so that she said she felt neck, jaw, and shoulder pain along with numbness in her extremities. She also said she hadn’t drank any Red Bull, ruling that out as a cause. Her family then insisted and took her to the ER for an EKG and examination. She said the doctors then diagnosed her with cardiomyopathy and said she didn’t have any blocked arteries.

Scarle did say at one point, “And yeah, no, I’m not going to take a break.” However, she also noted, “…I promise I will start taking care of myself a little better. No more Red Bull.”

Here is the full Scarle Yonaguni stream going over the situation, with the Nijisanji English Vtuber spending most of the time explaining what happened and her response.

Scarle Yonaguni has been with Anycolor since July 2022, and she debuted alongside Nijisanji English Vtubers like Aia Amare, Kyo Kaneko, Maria Marionette, and Ren Zotto.
