Bandai Namco announced it will commemorate the Sony PocketStation, a PlayStation peripheral, as well as the PS1 game Doko Demo Issyo with a new plush of the device. It will show up in Japanese arcades on October 16, 2025. There’s no word on any possible worldwide release through official storefronts.
This PocketStation plush is designed to show the PlayStation device “in action,” with Toro from Doko Demo Issyo appearing on the screen saying, “Heart pounding nya (ムネきゅんなのニャ).” (That was also the subtitle of the spin-off Toro’s Story App.) The front of the cushion features printed fabric that shows the screen, directional buttons, and action button. On the back, the device logo, battery compartment, and speaker are printed on the plush. It is 40cm tall (~16 inches).
Here are the two preliminary images showing how it will look:

As part of Doko Demo Issyo, players would interact with Toro, Jun, Ricky, Pierre, or R. Suzuki. They would be able to use the PocketStation, which could be a gameplay device and memory card, to play with these mascots when not at a PlayStation.
This is the second recent plush cushion based on the PlayStation that Bandai Namco released in Japanese arcades. It also created one based on the original PS1 console.
The Doko Demo Issyo PocketStation plush will appear in Japanese arcades as a prize starting on October 16, 2025, and the PS1 game only appeared on the PlayStation in Japan.
