Like many modern Pokemon games, Pokemon Legends: Z-A lets us customize our trainer and change their clothes, give them glasses, pick new eye colors, and pick new hairstyles and colors as you play. You can even do so pretty early on, as things open up after Taunie/Urbain introduces you to Emma and you start helping out with your first Side Missions. You just need to head to certain shopping districts to pick up stuff, then head into the main menu.
How do I get and change trainer clothes and glasses in Pokemon Legends: Z-A?
First, you need to buy clothing. You can take off your jacket and go with your long-sleeve shirt early on by going into the in-game menu and pressing the minus button on your Switch or Switch 2. But if you want some real options when you change clothes in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, you need to visit five spots. In the Rogue Sector, you could visit the Galerie de la Lune, Passage du Palais, and Passage Ombrage shopping districts. Vert Sector is home to Promenade du Vent along Vernal Avenue. Finally, there’s the Bleu Sector Passage de la Felicite.
Here’s a list of stores in each area. Note that if you want glasses in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, your best bet is DEFOG Eyewear in Bleu Sector’s Passage de la Felicite. I also noted the general “theme” of the shops around each spot.
- Galerie de la Lune – expensive and “designer” items, with some featuring an Asian, formal, or sporty influence.
- Kikonashi
- La Tornade
- Le Pays des Pieds
- Le Pays des Vetements
- Masterpiece
- SUBATOMIC
- SUBATOMIC 4
- Triathlon Rouge
- Passage de la Felicite – primarily sporty clothing.
- DEFOG Eyewear
- Equipement
- In the Zone
- Kickspin
- Marche Bleu
- Triathlon Bleu
- Passage du Palais – generally affordable items that are casual and can work with many types of outfits.
- Energie
- Le Passe-teps
- Marquage
- Naptime
- Pinceau
- Porte-Chance
- Soil and Sneaks
- The Usual
- Passage Ombrage – some gothic and more formal/academic pieces, but DENSOKU and Glammor Sporti include sporty stuff.
- Atelier Heads
- Bundle Up
- DENSOKU Lumiose
- FILMFAN
- Glammor Cuti
- Glammor Girli
- Glammor Pretti
- Glammor Sporti
- Les Chaussures
- Midnight Rite
- Mode Magnifique
- Mode Mature
- NIGHTSIDE
- Wisp
- Promenade du Vent – accessories and some more expensive formal and designer pieces.
- Changing Gears
- Dessert du Moment
- Fresh Fits
- Boutique Couture – this one is locked and can only be accessed by doing things like progressing the story.
- BRAVELY
Each of these spots also tends to have a Pokemon Center and a hair stylist nearby for changing your hair.
I highlighted each of these clothing store malls and streets on the maps in the gallery below.

When you do change your clothes and glasses in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, you need to press minus to reach the Outfit menu. This separates things into tops, bottoms, one piece sets, hats, glasses, gloves, socks, shoes, satchels, and earrings. In some cases, such as in tops, bottoms, and shoes, you may see the Variations option when highlighting an item. If you press the minus button, you can mix and match pieces from different designers for that specific type of clothing item to further customize the look. This usually involves two parts, such as the Blouson & Off Should Set letting you change the jacket and shirt underneath.

While in the Outfits menu, you can press ZR on the Switch or Switch 2 to enter the Looks menu. You can’t change your hairstyle or its color here, but you can adjust your eyes, color contacts, eyelashes, eyelash color, eyebrow shape, eyebrow color, lip color, beauty spots, freckles, and if you have dark circles under your eyes or not.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A is available for the Switch and Switch 2.
