Gonron Egg follows a young human named Gonron who finds a Drakarch egg named Ohma. In this world, Drakarchs from Gandala now rule over everyone and everything, enslaving humans to do their bidding. Ohma, being a susceptible egg, is dependent on Gonron for warmth and protection. He’s fallen to Earth due to being the child of the peaceful usurped king. However, Gonron is currently a slave under the Drakarch Abrolom, so he needs to balance survival with looking after the egg. The pair work out a partnership. If Gonron cares for Ohma and fights to defeat his enemies, then Ohma will help Gonron find his abducted sister and help humanity.

We should see more English manga show up regularly on MangaPlus. Back in October 2025, Shueisha announced Weekly Young Jump series will start getting simulpub releases. That started with Bungo: Unreal, a sports manga and follow-up to Bungo.

Gonron Egg is a series that will appear every week in Weekly Shonen Jump, so the next chapter of the manga will appear on November 2, 2025.
