Nintendo and Game Freak announced a major Pokemon Legends: Z-A bug that keeps us from catching Pokemon will be fixed and the Ranked Battle Mega Stone rewards will be adjusted. The former only happened under certain circumstances and could keep you from getting new characters. The latter will make it easier to avoid missing getting Mega Stones only available via hitting certain Ranked Battle tiers in the game.
The new Pokemon Legends: Z-A patch will address the bug that stops people from catching any Pokemon or being able to attack certain opponents. These both only happened under set circumstances. Nintendo noted the former happened if your Pokemon Boxes filled up before the first Rogue Mega-Evolved battle in the story, that it would be impossible to catch any after that. The other bug only kicked in if you were in a battle when the game transitioned between night and day or vice versa. No attacks would land.
In the case of the Pokemon Legends: Z-A Ranked Battle Mega Stones, we’ll no longer need to hit Rank K to get them. For season 1, which is happening now, we needed to get to that point by November 5, 2025 to get Greninjite for Mega Greninja. Starting with Season 2 on November 6, 2025, these will be relaxed. People will get a second chance to get Greninjite by hitting Rank Y in the next season. The Mega Delphox Mega Stone Delphoxite will be earned by getting to Rank S.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is available for the Switch and Switch 2, and the new patch and update are on the way.
