Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced the winners of the Like a Dragon Character Popularity Contest poll on the English and Japanese sites, and Yakuza staple Goro Majima was named most popular and won. He came in at first place with over 49,000 votes, beating fellow lead Kazuma Kiryu by 22,281 votes. Majima was the sole lead in the spin-off Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaiiwhen it debuted in February 2025.
The official social media account for RGG shared some images showing some of the most popular Like a Dragon folks in the Yakuza Character Popularity Poll, with Goro Majima, Kazuma Kiryu, and Taiga Saejima in their own image in honor of them being the top three. 490,278 votes came in worldwide.
Here are the top 30. The official site goes all the way up to 164, though we start to see “ties” around the 72 mark. Vtuber Kson, who plays Kei, came in at 27th. The top 10 will “come to the stage” for performances.
