The Goddess of Victory: NIKKE December 2025 Developer’s Note appeared, and it confirmed plans for 2026 like two IP crossovers, more insight into the game’s original story, and a Rapi: Red Hood rerun. The Bonus Recruit will also be extended for another year and include two more characters. Finally, a list of planned Surface Content improvements and updates were mentioned.
The updates on the 2026 Goddess of Victory: NIKKE crossover collabs and campaign plans came up in the general yearly plan teaser. Shift-Up noted a priority will be “to give more focus to NIKKE’s own story.” This is why there will only be two other IPs appearing in-game next year. In 2025, we saw new and returning ones with Resident Evil, NieR: Automata, Stellar Blade, and Evangelion. Rapi: Red Hood herself is also a rerun, as the alt of the character appeared for the first time as part of the New Year’s 2025 update.
As for the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Bonus Recruit characters, two existing characters will join Alice, Liter, and Naga. Helm, an SSR Attacker with a Sniper Rifle who deals water damage, is one of them. The other is Tia, an SSR Defender with a Rocket Launcher who deals Iron damage. We can redeem up to 1,000 points, instead of 600, after the update. Also, the change means that period will end on December 31, 2026, rather than the end of this year.
Finally, here is the tentative list of Surface changes coming to the game.
1. Movement speed improvement
- Significantly increase the movement speed when not in combat
- Improve the utilization of Rapid Deployment (remove required currency and attempt limits)
2. Ease of use improvement
- Improve responsiveness for mobile controls
- Improve touch input logic to reduce unnecessary touches
3. Gameplay pressure reduction
- Limit sector units to hours during the early exploration phase to spread out playtime
- Significantly reduce the occupation requirements for main gameplay, such as gateway battle
- Significantly reduce the HP of Tyrant-class Raptures
- Make changes so that occupied areas are permanently saved when captured (removal of the battery concept)
- Completely revamp the usage of the hospital
- Change the main consumption points for Surface materials from the factory to Hexacode Block production to ease pressure
Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is available for PCs and mobile devices, and 2026 will mark the return of Rapi: Red Hood and two new crossovers with other IPs.
