Mappa has announced that it is working on a new anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man that will cover the Assassins Arc. The studio has also published a teaser trailer for the upcoming new season.
Assassins Arc is the sixth arc in the original manga series. It is also alternatively known as the International Assassins Arc, where characters from various countries will come to Japan and attempt to assassinate the show’s protagonist Denji. Some of the characters shown in the key art are the eldest of the American thug brothers, the Chinese devil hunter Quanxi, and Santa Claus from Germany.
The teaser trailer for the Assassins Arc anime adaptation is also available to watch on Mappa’s official YouTube channel:
This new arc will further extend the overall anime adaptation’s coverage of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original manga series, which is still ongoing as of December 2025. The first anime season, which launched in 2022 and also had a couple of compilation movies released on Crunchyroll in 2025, covered the Introduction, Bat Devil, Eternity Devil, and Katana Man arcs. The following Reze arc appeared as a movie that launched in Japan in September 2025 and in the US in October 2025.
The new Assassins Arc season for the Chainsaw Man anime adaptation is under production. Mappa has still yet to announce its launch window.
