How Do I Invite Splatoon Villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

There are two Splatoon themed villagers that can be obtained in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. They are Cece and Viche, who previously appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo for the 3DS. There, they were dressed as Splatoon idols Callie and Marie, respectively. With Update 3.0, they now appear in New Horizons, now dressed as Deep Cut members Shiver and Frye from Splatoon 3.

Like other amiibo characters, Cece and Viche can be summoned to the island in three ways:

  • The Nook Stop in Resident Services – they will appear in the campsite
  • The Roost – can be called on the phone to visit for a coffee
  • Hotel – after completing the initial decoration quests for the hotel, a device in the lobby can summon amiibo characters to the VIP Room

To get Cece (Shiver) to visit, you’ll need to scan one of the following Splatoon amiibo:

  • Smallfry
  • Callie (standard or Alterna)
  • Marina (standard or Side Order)
  • Shiver

Viche will visit when any of these Splatoon amiibo are scanned:

  • Any Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy or Inkling Squid (including Smash Bros Inkling)
  • Marie (standard or Alterna)
  • Pearl (standard or Side Order)
  • Frye

The Big Man amiibo is special, as this will let you choose which of the two villagers you want to visit.
