Square Enix released another Dragon Quest VII Reimagined trailer over a month after the first, and this one prioritizes both major characters and supporting ones who will factor into the story and occasionally provide assistance. It starts by going over members of the party and sharing their background. From there, we get to learn more about the other important people that come up.
The Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Adventure Log 2 starts with main characters and prioritizes them for over two minutes before getting into the supporting cast at the two minute, 25 second mark. Things begin by showing the protagonist and how he starts as a simple fisherman’s son in Pilchard Bay who explores with his friend Prince Kiefer and childhood friend Maribel. They’re convinced that there’s more to the world than what they see. As they start to explore, they meet new allies Ruff, Aishe, and Sir Mervyn. The end of the trailer closes out with the adult version of Kiefer showing up again.

People can start playing the game now. There’s a free trial available on every platform. If you do, you can create a save file that carries over to the full version. That also involves an unlock of an extra outfit for Maribel.
The Dragon Quest VII Reimagined remake will come to the Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on February 5, 2026, and a demo is available now.
