Sega confirmed there would be a Switch 2 version of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage when it brought up the console and PC release, but said it wouldn’t release alongside its contemporaries. Now we know exactly when it will appear. People will be able to pick it up on March 26, 2026, and we’ll get to test it out ahead of launch with an open beta on February 18, 2026.
There are basically two versions of the game coming to the Switch 2 at launch. One is the standard digital copy, which costs $19.99. That gives you the base fighter. The physical copies and 30th Anniversary Edition digital version will be $49.99. That is because it has add-ons like the Legendary Pack, Pre-Production Artwork, Ranking Titles, Soundtrack Collection, Swimsuit Costume Set, and Yakuza Series Collaboration Pack.
As for the open beta, that will begin at 7pm PT/10pm ET on February 18, 2026. You don’t need a Sega Account to participate and it will be a free download, but you will need a Nintendo Switch Online active subscription since it is testing online elements. The company noted it will focus on crossplay with the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC versions and server status.
Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will come to the Switch 2 on March 26, 2026, and it is already on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
