Ahead of the 4.0 version update for Honkai: Star Rail, Crypton and HoYoVerse shared official promotional crossover art featuring Hatsune Miku. It’s drawn by the artist Kei “KEI” Garou, who’s known for Vocaloid art. In addition to a Planarcadia theme, it also features the Astral Express conductor Pom-Pom. The announcement also clarified this only pertains to the art and there will be no Hatsune Miku items or music found in-game.

The artwork features Pom-Pom from Honkai: Star Rail posed in front of Hatsune Miku. He’s wearing his standard conductor costume, while she’s in her usual Vocaloid uniform. Both characters are in a similar pose, with him holding his long bunny ears and her holding her twintails. The background features the same sort of color scheme and characters as shown in Planarcadia promotions.

Here’s how the full KEI artwork looks:

This isn’t the only time Hatsune Miku ended up being used to celebrate Honkai: Star Rail. Mitchie M used the Vocaloid for the promotional song “Memi Memi Myun Myun.” That was an Amphoreous-themed track featuring Mem the Memosprite tied to the Trailblazer’s Remembrance path form. Other notable characters from that storyline appeared at the end of the video.

Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the 4.0 update debuts on February 13, 2026.
