Following CyberConnect2 announcing the return of the .hack series with a new game, it also brought back character merchandise from games and anime adaptations in the form of plush toys. While there’s only a Japanese storefront, the company’s official store ships worldwide with WorldShopping. These are 5,940円 (~$38.50), and already half of them sold out again.
The collection is focused on different .hack series plush of main characters. .hack//G.U.’s Haseo, .hack//Infection’s Kite, .hack//Link’s Tokio, and .hack//Sign’s Tsukasa are all represented. However, due to their popularity, Haseo and Kite are already shown as sold out. Each of them are almost 10 inches tall (250mm), but some might look a little taller than others due to things like their hairstyles. (So Tokio looks like he’s tallest.) Each of them tends to be based on their in-WORLD appearance. As a reminder, Haseo is an Adept Rogue, Kite is a Twin Blade, Tokio is a Dual Edge, and Tsukasa is a Wavemaster.
Here’s how all the plush look. Two of the photos CyberConnect2 shared show them with a person, so we can get a better sense of scale.

The new .hack game is called .hack//Zero, and it will be a JRPG with adventure elements. Both the real-world and WORLD experiences will be highlighted in it. The initial teaser trailer seemed to show characters who resembled Kite and BlackRose (or maybe even Rena and Shugo).
The .hack series plush of hero characters like Haseo, Kite, Tokio, and Tsukasa are back in Japan and can be shipped worldwide, but are selling out fast.
