Infold Games, developer behind otome game Love and Deepspace, announced on social media that the Japanese voice actor behind Zayne, also known as Rei, will leave the role. Takuya Sato’s last day as the character will be June 7, 2026. The company claimed this is due to the contract with him ending, but didn’t offer any additional explanation or details as to why one of the leads in the title is changing.

Takuya Sato’s voice may sound familiar, as he’s appeared as a voice actor in a number of anime series and games. In terms of games, we’ve heard him as Abel in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, Alphen in Tales of Arise, and Machias in some Tales of Cold Steel titles. As far as anime series go, some of his most recent roles include Albert James Moriarty in Moriarty the Patriot and Sasaki in Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You.

In the statement, Infold Games noted there is no information on the next voice actor who will portray Zayne in Japanese yet. Further announcements will come at a later date. This only affects the Japanese version. No similar statements appeared on other social media like, say the English one.

This isn’t the only major Infold Games and Paper Games change coming soon. The preceding game Mr. Love: Queen’s Choice will end on March 27, 2026. While that otome game doesn’t feature the same characters, it does also involve the same sorts of special powers and world.

Love and Deepspace is available for mobile Android and iOS devices, and the Zayne Japanese voice actor will change after June 7, 2026.
