Nintendo announced it will honor Mario Day on March 10, 2026 by releasing the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack games Mario Clash, Mario’s Tennis, and Mario vs Donkey Kong. The first two will join the Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics app, while the third will be on the Game Boy Advance Nintendo Classics app. Those who pay for the $49.99 per year upgraded version of the plan will be able to access all three.

The two Virtual Boys cover two different genres. Mario Clash is inspired by the first Mario Bros and involves moving between different layers via pipes as Mario to get through various stages. Meanwhile, Mario’s Tennis is a more traditional take on tennis. After picking one of the seven playable characters, you’ll go through single or doubles matches.

With Mario vs Donkey Kong, it’s another action adventure with puzzle elements like the original and sequel. We control Mario as we go through stages, trying to find the key in each level to pursue DK and retrieve the Mini-Marios he’s stolen.

Here’s the full trailer highlighting all three Nintendo Switch Online Mario Day games.

Mario Clash and Mario’s Tennis will join Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics on March 10, 2026, and Mario vs Donkey Kong will be part of the Game Boy Advance Nintendo Classics app on Mario Day as well. Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack is available for Switch and Switch 2 owners worldwide.
