We’re able to see how even more of the Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy launch characters work, as Square Enix shared trailers for Rinoa Heartlly from FFVIII, Cloud Strife from FFVII and its remakes, and Terra Branford from FFVI. In each case, we hear their voice actors, see them in-battle, watch their new and original designs as they’re compared to each other, and briefly see them during a story segment.

The fifth Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy character trailer featured Rinoa, and it also showed her in the original FFVIII. She’s played by Kana Hanazawa, who also starred as the heroine in the Opera Omnia and NT installments. Some of her featured skills shown here are Angel Wing, Aqua Burst, Frigid Rain, and Meteor.

The sixth Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy one looked at Cloud. No footage from the FFVII Remake series was used for the retrospective part. It only relied on the polygonal original. Takahiro Sakurai will return for the role, and he’s been playing the character since Kingdom Hearts all the way up through the remake trilogy and Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. His featured attacks in the trailer are Braver, Cross-Slash, Finishing Touch, and Omnislash.

Finally, the March 9, 2026 Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy character preview trailer looks at Terra both now and when she was in FFVI. Her outfit change is one of the most drastic. Yukari Fukui played the heroine in past Dissidia spin-offs and World of Final Fantasy, though she’s also known for her role as FFXIII cast member Oerba Dia Vanille. Her attacks shown in the footage include Graviga, Meltdown, Riot Blade, and Trance.

These videos are being released in order from the most recent games to oldest ones. In case you missed some of the past showcases, here’s who also showed up in their own trailers so far:

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy pre-registration is live, and the game is expected to debut in March 2026 debut on Android and Apple iOS mobile devices.
