HoYoVerse used drip marketing to share the second Elation character who will be playable in Honkai: Star Rail in the next few months, and it is Evanescia. She’ll show up in 4.2, just like the new Silver Wolf alt.
Evanescia will be a five-star unit in the game. She’ll be Elation, which means her attacks and skills will built up Punchline to bring Aha into fights. When she hits foes, she’ll deal Physical damage.
Here’s her full official art, which confirms that Evanescia will be yet another five-star Elation character in Honkai: Star Rail.
Evanescia bears quite a resemblance to two other HoYoVerse characters, in terms of design. She looks most like Yae Sakura, the rabbit-themed member of the 13 Flame Chasers in Honkai Impact 3rd. This also means she resembles Yae Miko from Genshin Impact, the Grand Narukami Shrine kitsune.
It will be a while before we learn more about Evanescia, but we will discover more details about another new character headed to the game soon. Ashveil will join in the 4.1 update. He follows The Hunt path and deals lightning damage. He’ll be one of the featured units discussed during the 4.1 Special Program on March 13, 2026.
Honkai: Star Rail is available on the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and Evanescia will appear in 4.2.
