Marvelous has opened an anniversary website for Story of Seasons and Rune Factory, where you can vote for your favorites from the series in two popularity polls. The polls will be open until April 6, 2026.
A total of 560 characters are eligible to be voted for across both polls, and the top winners will appear in a new illustration. For Story of Seasons, there will be ten characters, and from Rune Factory, there will be five. The illustrators for each respective series will draw the anniversary artwork. You can vote once per day, so if you like multiple characters, you can put your vote towards them all. Conversely, you can just keep voting for your ultimate favorite.
Here are the two existing pieces of anniversary artwork for both series:
2026 marks the 30th anniversary of Story of Seasons (originally released in English as Harvest Moon) and the 20th anniversary of Rune Factory. Story of Seasons games typically involve the player taking an old farm and turning it into a successful one. You can also interact with the townsfolk, marry them, and have kids. Rune Factory originated as a spin-off series of Story of Seasons before developing its own identity. You can still farm in Rune Factory games, but they take place in a fantasy world and also involve dungeon crawling.
The Story of Seasons and Rune Factory character popularity poll will end on April 6, 2026.
