Infiniteloop announced the newest piece of Desktop Mate DLC, and it will be an add-on of the Megpoid Vocaloid character Gumi. It will launch on April 2, 2026. She will cost $14.99, just like all past full-size characters. The product page is already live on Steam.
This Gumi DLC is based on her VOCALOID6 appearance and Nou’s design for the character. The announcement noted some of her animations, like singing and eating cake. It also mentioned her “voice” will be used, but didn’t mention if any songs will be referenced. It did confirm there will be a “carrot” sound effect used if you click on her.
Here are the first Desktop Mate Gumi screenshots. There is no trailer that shows her in action or highlights her voice and sound effects.

As an example of what she can sound like, here’s the Kenshi Yonezu (as Hachi) Gumi and Hatsune Miku song “Matryoshka.”
While there are a wide range of Desktop Mate DLC characters that range from video game icons to Sanrio mascots, the majority of add-ons involve Vocaloids from different companies. Many major Crypton ones, like Hatsune Miku and her variants, Megurine Luka, and Kagamine Len and Rin showed up. There are also TOKYO6 ENTERTAINMENT and VOCALOMAKETS ones like Kizuna Akari, Natsuki Karin, and Yuzuki Yukari. The Megpoid Gumi one is the first Internet Co character to appear in this application.
Desktop Mate is available on PCs, and the Gumi Megpoid Vocaloid DLC drops on April 2, 2026.
