Square Enix announced that Riesz from Trials of Mana can appear as a crossover character in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales if you have Trails of Mana save data on your system. Apparently, speaking to her will net you some goods for your journey. She is apparently one of multiple cameos confirmed for the upcoming action-RPG.

As part of a save data campaign, characters from other Square Enix games may make crossover cameos and give you items in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales if the console detects those save data files. This works for the demo versions of the game as well, so long as you have the save data. So far, six past RPGs from the company are confirmed to be part of these crossovers.

Here are all the games that we know are part of this campaign so far:

  • Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster
  • Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D
  • Octopath Traveler 0
  • Trials of Mana
  • Triangle Strategy
  • Various Daylife

For the most part, the save data will grant useful equipment. For example, the Dragon Quest will give you Critical Hit. As the name implies, this increases the critical hit rate of your sword by 6%. In the case of Trials of Mana, you’ll receive a key item that unlocks a cameo of Riesz, a protagonists from Trials of Mana, though you’ll need to go find her in the world of The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. After you speak with her, she’ll give you supplies for the road.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales will come out on June 18, 2026 for the PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC.
