There’s a new way to get more than just a new console when buying a Switch 2 system, as Nintendo confirmed a Super Mario Galaxy “bundle” offer that features the two updated releases. However, it doesn’t mean a special pack-in. Instead, it’s a temporary promotion that involves a $20 discount when buying both the pair of games and the console at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart. The offer starts on April 12, 2026.

Here’s how this deal works. The Switch 2 standard console is $449.99. The pair of the two games is sold together for $69.99, both when sold together on a physical cartridge or as a digital download via a card or direct eShop purchase. That would normally cost $519.98 if purchased together. When this promotion takes effect, it would instead cost $500 for the pair. Since each of the two games can be bought alone for $39.99, it’s akin to getting one of them at a major discount. However, someone would need to purchase the pair of games as a bundle either via a physical copy or download card and the console at the same time.

As the official imagery suggests, this is a movie tie-in promotion. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie debuted at the outset of April 2026. That film’s performed well, in terms of sales, so far. In the US alone, it made $190.1 million between its launch and over the Easter holiday weekend. The initial estimate when taking into account the worldwide income is $372.5 million over that period total. The film also ended with a cliffhanger scene at the end that suggested who could appear in the next film.

The Nintendo Switch 2 and Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 bundle offer is available between April 12, 2026 and May 9, 2026. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is also in theaters worldwide now.
