Following a Japanese release in November 2025, Hibino and Square confirmed the 1:1 replica of the 2B Virtuous Contract sword from NieR: Automata will appear in the US. Pre-orders are live now. The first round will ship around April 15, 2026, and the second will start arriving around May 13, 2026. The sword will be available alone or in a set with accessories.

The US debut of the NieR: Automata sword replica is identical to the Japanese release. So the sword alone features a resin blade with aluminum accents for the guard and pommel. Four AA batteries can be inserted for things like the 2B English or Japanese voice lines and the motion-triggered slashing sound effects and lights. It is possible to set the volume for sounds, and a Photo Mode allows for continuous illumination instead of brief ones. The sword is about 54 inches long.

As far as bundles go, there are three purchase options, and the prices include the import duties/tariffs and FedEx shipping. The sword alone is $899. It is also possible to get the light ring and stand for displaying and soft case for carrying on their own for $499. The full set that includes the sword, light, soft case, and stand is $1,199.

Here’s how all that looks:

This comes ahead of a tease that more NieR: Automata is on the way. Back in February 2026, Square Enix tased that it is “to be continued.” However, we don’t know what that might entail.

The NieR: Automata 2B Virtuous Contract sword replica will begin shipping in the US around April 15, 2026. The game is available on the Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is also playable on the Switch 2. The anime adaptation is on Crunchyroll. Square Enix’s books division handled a number of spin-off books based on the title worldwide.
