Capcom has published a special site to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Okami right on the anniversary day, based on the game’s inaugural Japanese PS2 release. But even though the site is available in multiple languages, including English, the Japanese language version of the site exclusively contains additional announcements of concerts and merchandise that will appear in Japan.
The Okami 20th Anniversary Concert is slated to take place at the Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Tokyo, Japan, on April 29, 2026. Capcom and Promax have newly announced that they will hold an additional performance of the same concert at Hall A of the Tokyo International Forum on Sunday, December 27, 2026.
Capcom also simultaneously revealed a couple of Okami anniversary merchandise collections that it will sell in Japan. It has opened pre-orders for new framed art made by Mari Shimazaki, which will be available in two variations: a 49×32.8cm (~19x13in) framed Chara Fine Graph at ¥18,700 (~$117.65) and a large foldable screen sized at 196×119.5cm (~77x47in) and priced at a whopping ¥495,000 (~$3,115).
The company will also sell more merchandise based on new illustrations drawn by Oharuchan in Capcom Stores across the country. The prices in this lineup will range from ¥660 (~$4.15) for a clear file to ¥4,180 (~$26.30) for a T-shirt.
Capcom first released Okami for PlayStation 2 in Japan on April 20, 2006. The game is readily available as Okami HD on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The 20th anniversary site also acknowledges the 2010 Nintendo DS entry Okamiden as part of the series, along with the brand-new sequel that Hideki Kamiya and CLOVERS are still developing as of early 2026.
