Square Enix has opened a new website dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy X. The company also revealed plans to release merchandise, books, and music albums to help celebrate the FFX 25th anniversary, which will formally fall on July 19, 2026.
The first merchandise lineup revealed on the FFX 25th anniversary website is a collection of chibi character plushies that will go on sale in July 2026. It will consist of eight characters in total. Tidus and Yuna’s plushies will each cost ¥4,400 (~$27.65), while the other six plushies featuring Wakka, Lulu, Auron, Kimahri, Rikku, and Jecht cost slightly more at ¥4,620 (~$29.05).
Square Enix also revealed a couple of new FFX books that it will sell ahead of the anniversary on July 3, 2026. It will release an HD Remastered version of the Final Fantasy X Memorial Album, which originally appeared in 2002, at ¥3,520 (~$22.10). The company will also newly produce the Final Fantasy X 25th Anniversary Visual Art Book -Eternal Spira- that includes Tetsuya Nomura’s illustrations for the 2023 Kabuki stage play at ¥2,750 (~$17.30).
The company rounded up the anniversary reveals with plans to release new FFX music albums. It will release the Eternal Calm vinyl set at ¥9,350 (~$58.75) and a CD album exclusively containing multiple renditions of “Zanarkand” at ¥2,420 (~$15.20) on July 1, 2026. Square Enix will later release a House Grooves arrangement album at ¥3,300 (~$20.75) in Summer 2026.
Final Fantasy X appeared first in Japan for PlayStation 2 on July 19, 2001. Square Enix has since released an HD remaster compilation that contains both this game and Final Fantasy X-2 for the PS3, PS Vita, PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch worldwide.
