We won’t be seeing Beastro, a game that involves us cooking meals to ensure warriors are prepared for each fight, in May 2026. The game was supposed to launch on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on May 21, 2026. Now, it will instead debut on June 11, 2026.
Timberline did offer an explanation as to why Beastro won’t show up exactly when expected. The developer cited quality control. The additional three weeks will be spent polishing the game. As a result, it should feel stronger and feature fewer bugs at launch.
To go along with the new release date for Beastro, there’s also a new trailer. It explains how it works. The meals Panko makes with ingredients he gathered and collected affect how all Caretaker fights go when the warriors head out to protect the town. The example images show how placing items affect flavors, with different colors highlighting traits. At the bottom right, we’ll see the palate of the customer in question and see the certain ranges we’ll need to get into to satisfy them ahead of the quest. However, since there’s only so much space in the grid, we need to be cautious when setting things up.
This isn’t the only game that directly ties the in-game cooking element to performance in combat. Another indie did something similar. Hungry Horrors is already out in early access, and it is a roguelike deckbuilder with a princess cooking up the cards she’ll use to fill up enemies on runs.
Beastro will come to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on June 11, 2026, following about a three week delay.
