It looks like all three heroines from Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride will show up in the new Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World game, as the character Debora is now confirmed. Yuji Horii confirmed she’ll show up in a social media post following the reveal. However, we don’t know the extent of her appearance in-game. She first showed up as a new addition in the DS edition of the game before also showing up in the mobile one.
When the Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World logo appeared in the update presentation on May 27, 2026, it featured the characters Bianca and Nera below it and no sign of Debora. Those two characters were the original heroines and bride candidates in the JRPG when it appeared on the Super Famicom and PS2. Debora was added as a new addition in the DS release and remained in later versions. She’s Nera’s older sister and is a more headstrong and spoiled person.
Yuji Horii’s confirmation didn’t go into what role Debora will play in the new game. As Bianca and Nera appeared alongside the logo, they’ll be the main characters. (Horii also confirmed this.) It’s possible Nera’s sister will just make an appearance as a supporting cast member.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World is in development for the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and there’s no release date for the new game yet. Dragon Quest V appeared on the Super Famicom, PS2, DS, and mobile devices, though Debora is only present in the DS and mobile games.
