Lego, The Pokemon Company International, and Nintendo revealed a new line of Pokemon Smart Play sets. They will arrive on August 1, 2026. All of them are electronic-based and interact with users via actions. There will be 12 options at launch, with two being all-in-one sets and the rest being compatible with the features. These follow a number of more traditional sets that let us build characters like Eevee and Pikachu.

The two all-in-one lines in the set are the $69.99 Training House with Pikachu and $119.99 Charizard vs Jolteon Ultimate Battle. The difference between those and others is that it comes with a Smart Play charger, two Smart bricks, and four Smart tags. These make the characters interact with movements and certain item interactions.

Here’s how those two sets will look.

To compare, the sets that are compatible are more about providing additional Pokemon characters and possible Smart tags for interactions, but don’t have the Smart bricks or charger. Here’s the full list of those sets and their prices:

  • Bash with Bulbasaur and Bidoof – $19.99
  • Charmander and Geodude’s Cavern Clash – $19.99
  • Cubone and Gengar’s Spooky Showdown – $89.99
  • Drone Search for Mythical Mew – $49.99
  • Eevee and Lapras’s Treasure Hunt – $59.99
  • Jigglypuff Concert – $14.99
  • Mewtwo’s Lab Break – $69.99
  • Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly Battle – $34.99
  • Trainer’s Buggy Adventure with Squirtle – $29.99
  • Umbreon vs. Garchomp Championship Battle – $79.99

And this is what they’ll look like:

This isn’t the only time we’ve seen more interactive Lego sets tied to a Nintendo property. It already happened with the Super Mario series. That involved levels to build and different suits based on power-ups for characters like Mario and Peach that affected how they reacted when used.

The Lego Pokemon Smart Play sets will show up on August 1, 2026, and pre-orders are already open via multiple storefronts.
