In addition to decorations inside the zoo, Amnibus will also sell merchandise featuring the actual characters with their respective animals and chibi versions of the characters wearing the animal-themed hoodies.

The items will be available for purchase not only physically at the zoo but also online via the Amnibus and Animate Online Shop. A full box purchase of the character badges will also come with a different bonus badge, based on whether one buys the box physically or online.

The Tobu Zoo was previously famous for its collaboration event with Kemono Friends. The Humboldt penguin Grape-kun was particularly famed for his attachment to the cutout of the species’ Kemono Friends personification character, Hululu. Although Grape-kun died in October 2017, he became immortalized with a new official cutout that depicts him together with Hululu.

The Danganronpa collaboration event at Tobu Zoo in Japan’s Saitama prefecture will run from July 4 to September 27, 2026.
