We already knew Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave would involve the Heroic Games. The first trailer from September 2025 showed it being held in Fodlan and overseen by the Divine Sovereign. It also highlighted a handful of the people who would take part. Cai, a young boy entering to aid his father, was shown as a potential lead character. However, we also saw other warriors who can be our leader like Theodora, Leda, and Dietrich. More of these individuals came up in the latest video, as we got to see the four main characters and their unique techniques highlighted. We also saw additional gameplay footage showing what we can expect and how training for the Heroic Games will work.

You can see the full June 2026 Nintendo Direct below.

The original Fire Emblem: Three Houses appeared seven years ago. It featured three routes to follow tied to the three leads in the base game, though the DLC expansion added an Ashen Wolves four house. In 2022, we also saw an alternate universe Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Houses installment based on the same entry.

The Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave release date is September 17, 2026, and we’ll see the game appear on the Switch 2 worldwide.
