Square Enix announced a new collection of NieR: Automata 2B and 9S personal marker style charms that can connect to each other and be used as decorations or keychains. These will be available alone in a blind box sort of situation for 660円 (~$4) each or 6,600円 (~$41) for a box of ten. These follow other, similar sorts of Square Enix character charms and keychains. They’ll show up in Japan on August 29, 2026, and it’s unknown when we might see them worldwide.
Each of the charms is an acrylic one that features either the NieR: Automata lead characters 2B or 9S or their Pods allies Pod 042 or 153. Depending on the pose, they are 33mm to 55mm long. They have a lobster claw at the top attached to stretchy plastic ring that could be used to attach it to an item like an umbrella or water bottle. At the bottom is a small ring that a person could attach another one of the charms in the series.
Here’s how all the styles look. Both 2B and 9S are shown both with and without their blindfolds in some of the designs. There are four of 2B, four of 9S, one of Pod 042, and one of Pod 153.

We’ve seen Square Enix release these sorts of acrylic personal marker charms that can be used as keychains before for games other than NieR: Automata. One of the more notable ones involved Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster. We saw those show up in 2025, and it involved characters from games like FFV and FFVI.
The NieR: Automata 2B and 9S acrylic charms will come to Japan on August 29, 2026. The game is on the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC, and the anime adaptation is streaming on Crunchyroll.
