All Evo 2026 Fighting Game Announcements and News

In case you missed it, here are all the Evo 2026 fighting games announcements and news tied to titles and their characters.

Tons of companies used Evo 2026 to go over updates and news for existing fighting games and announcements for upcoming titles. The promise of a new BlazBlue: Central Fiction DLC character, which is the first-time debut of Trinity Glassfille, was a big one. But so were fighter teasers for games like Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls and Tekken 8. Not to mention the Switch 2 getting its own version of Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising. There’s a lot to take in!

To help you better keep up with everything that came up the weekend, here are all of the major Evo 2026 fighting game announcements, news, and character reveals for titles.

  • 2XKO: The 2026 next new characters will be Lux and Samira.
  • Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game: The Year 1 Pass DLC characters will be Bolin, Lin Beifong, Ty Lee, and Uncle Iroh. Fans will be able to vote for who will be the fifth character.
  • BlazBlue: Central Fiction: Trinity Glassfille is in development as DLC. A first trailer appeared.
  • Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves: Kenshiro Fist of the North Star DLC is out now.
  • Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising: Id DLC, a new stage, and a Switch version will all appear on September 17, 2026.  
  • Guilty Gear Strive: Robo=Ky DLC will debut on July 2, 2026. 
  • King of Fighters XV: An update will appear on July 2, 2026.
  • Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls: The Samurai Outriders team will feature Blade, Deadpool, and Loki.
  • Ninja Master’s: The Scroll of the Ninja Emperor: It is available and features online multiplayer, rollback netcode, and the new Gallery, Time Attack, and Practice modes.
  • Path of the Warrior: Art of Fighting 3 R: Heading to PC via Steam with playable King and Yuri.
  • Rivals of Aether II: Gouie will be the next free character on August 4, 2026. Mina from Mina the Hollower is in development and expected to release in 2027.
  • Tekken 8: Bob will appear as early access DLC on August 19, 2026, ahead of a wider release on August 24, 2026. We’ll get Roger Jr. details at Evo France on October 11, 2026.  
  • Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes: Zohar will appear as DLC in Summer 2026 alongside a game balancing patch and new Rating system. 
  • Virtua Fighter Crossroads: Bakunawa Killer revealed as a fighter.

The last Evo event of 2026 will be Evo France, which is held between October 9-11, 2026 at the Palais des Expositions in Nice, France.
