We’ve seen a lot of growth from the Hololive English branch Vtubers over the years. Early performances sometimes seemed like opportunities for us to see how capable they are as live singers and dancers and others showed their progress as professionals. With the Hololive English 4th Concert: Serendipity, which took place over days on July 3-4, 2026, it almost feels more about showcasing how these individuals work together in pairs or in groups and how people’s voices and mannerisms play off of each other for successful performances.
As a quick refresher, the Hololive English concerts that span multiple days don’t work like traditional performances where it is the same setlists with the same Vtubers. While both days do feature all English branch members and some guest performances from folks from other branches, there are different line-ups and it is like two unique shows. The Myth members appearing are Calliope Mori, Kiara Takanashi, and Ninomae Ina’nis. From Promise, we see Hakos Baelz, IRyS, and Ouro Kronii. All five Advent members Fuwawa and Mococo Abyssgard, Koseki Bijou, Nerissa Ravencroft, and Shiori Novella showed up. Finally, the Justice Vtubers Cecilia Immergreen, Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame, Gigi Murin, and Raora Panthera performed.
Now, we’d expect certain generations to perform together at a Hololive English concert, and that happened at Serendipity! The show on the first day kicked off with all three remaining Myth members performing a medley that included “ReUnion,” “The Show Goes On,” and “Fortune Spinner.” This felt effective as a reminder of how this branch started, as well as what the three remaining founding members are capable of. We also saw Advent sing “What Goes Around” that day, Promise do a medley of three tracks later that night, and Justice perform “Supernova Super Girl.” And the second day almost seemed like a nod to what newer generations have done and can do, with that show starting with Advent singing “Rebellion” and Justice’s “Above Below.” Not to mention we see the branch as a whole close out the nights each day with “Serendipity” and “All for One.”
But there’s a really strong focus on matching up Hololive English Vtubers whose personalities and talents also really pair well together with the 4th Serendipity concert. So much so that even ahead of the show, Cover announced these official unit names and groups. Some of these are ones that are established and have been around for years, and we’re still seeing how amazing people work together. BloodRaven (Nerissa and Elizabeth) did a stunning cover of “Cruel Angel’s Thesis” on day two. And we got to hear BaeRys (IRyS and Baelz) perform “LUVORATORRRRRY” that day too. Which, again, that duo is always phenomenal together.
But it also introduced some dynamics that we might not have seen or known about before now that can be really fun because of how they play off of each other. One of the earliest examples is Autofister (Cecilia and Gigi) performing “CCGG Madness,” then that transitioning into their MC moment to really highlight the way the two get along and how much fun they seem to have together. Last Writes also meant we got to hear how well Calliope and Shiori’s voices complement each other for “When My Devil Rises,” especially since it offered a more edgy moment among some other idol songs on the first day. Another standout that I especially enjoyed was hearing Rocku Wawa (Kiara and Bijou) singing “Tententengoku Jigokukoku.” Their voices not only complement each other well in terms of tone and style, but really suited the track perfectly.
With Hololive English 4th Concert: Serendipity, it seemed like the Vtubers were able to perhaps have more fun and play off each other than in past performances. As an outsider who started watching from the second concert, I almost had the impression with that early show that it seemed a bit like there was something to “prove.” Like to highlight that each of these talents isn’t just a streamer, but there are times when they can dance, sing, and perform really well when given the opportunity. With this latest two-day show, I got the feeling there were more chances for them to highlight their talents, but also have fun and even be silly.
Hololive English 4th Concert: Serendipity streaming tickets are available through SPWN and Streaming+ though August 5, 2026.
