FuRyu announced its F:NEX line of Japanese Doll figures will get Rebuild of Evangelion heroines Asuka Shikinami Langley and Rei Ayanami in kimono costumes as its 20th and 21th entries in the series. Both of them will be released in July 2027, and they’ll be able to be purchased separately or alone. They follow other characters who joined the line like NieR: Automata’s 2B and were added as part of the Evangelion 30th anniversary celebration. Each doll will be 198,000 yen (~$1,210) each at the FuRyu Hobby Mall, and the pair will cost 396,000 yen (~$2,420). It’s unknown if we’ll eventually see them at the FuRyu Amazon section following their launch, but FuRyu Hobby Mall does ship worldwide with WorldShopping.
These two Evangelion figures of Asuka and Rei in kimono are both 1/4 scale items that don’t come with extra face plates or posing parts. Rei will stand at over 17 and a half inches tall (445mm), due to the extra height from her umbrella, while Asuka will be just over 17 inches (440mm) due to the pose and position of her fan. Each one’s outfit will use real kimono fabric.
