Universal Studios Japan has revealed that it is working with Capcom to produce and sell a new popcorn bucket modeled after the Licker from the Resident Evil series. Although the theme park has had Resident Evil-themed attractions multiple times, including in 2023 and 2024, this will be the first time it produces a popcorn bucket themed after the famous video game series.
This popcorn bucket will appear as part of the double celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the Resident Evil series and the 15th anniversary of Universal Studios Japan’s Halloween Horror Nights. The theme park will temporarily run Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive attraction as the main highlight of the celebrations at Stage 18 from September 11 to December 27, 2026.
The bucket will come pre-filled with miso-flavored popcorn, and the owner can literally open the Licker’s brain to take the popcorn. The item will be available to purchase at the popcorn cart in front of Stage 22.
The Licker popcorn bucket will not be the only Resident Evil merchandise Universal Studios Japan will sell. The theme park will also have new sales of Raccoon Police Department-themed shirts and bags that let people cosplay as Raccoon City police officers. These items will be available for purchase at the Cinema 4-D Store.

The new Resident Evil merchandise will be available for purchase at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka from September 9, 2026.
