Square Enix will rerelease another one of its Final Fantasy board games and bring back FFVII Remake Materia Hunter card game. The new version is expected to show up in the US in March 2027. It will cost $44.99. The Square Enix Store listing is already live for the reprint.
As this is a typical rerelease, it is completely unchanged. The point is for players to take part in a 1v1 or 2v2 match to collect Materia cards using Character cards. Each individual has their own ability to help your side or hinder your opponent’s. As this is based on the Intergrade release, Yuffie and Sonon cards are present. However, Cait Sith, Cid, and Vincent are not.
Here are some photos as a refresher for how the FFVII Remake Materia Hunter game and its cards look.

This is an older Final Fantasy board game. Square Enix announced work on it at the 2023 Tokyo Game Show. It then released it worldwide in 2024. It cost $44.99 back then too, so even the price remains unchanged.
The Final Fantasy VII Materia Hunter card game will be back in March 2027, and the FFVII game it is based on is on the Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. FFVII Rebirth is on the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and FFVII Revelation is in development and will launch simultaneously on all platforms in Spring 2027.
