The popular Hunter x Hunter manga will receive a food and merchandise collaboration with the Japanese takoyaki chain Tsukiji Gindaco. The event will be available between August 18 and November 17, 2026. [Thanks, Dengeki Online!]
The characters featured include Gon, Killua, Kurapika, Chrollo, Machi, and Nobunaga. There are three collaboration takoyaki items. Each one includes 8 takoyaki and costs 980 yen (or about $6.15). The characters that the menu items are based on and their flavor are as follows: Gon and Killua takoyaki (roasted corn and mayo), Kurapika takoyaki (green onion and chili oil), and Phantom Troupe takoyaki(shichimi and curry powder).
The Gon and Killua takoyaki will be available from the start of the collaboration, whereas the Kurapika Takoyaki will appear from September 18, 2026, and the Phantom Troupe item will appear on October 16. The takoyaki menu items will include an exclusive collaboration card and sleeve, featuring the new character art as well as still images from the Phantom Troupe and Heavens Arena arcs of the Hunter x Hunter anime series.



In addition, a collaboration drink will be available. It’ll be served in a paper cup with promotional illustrations. As a bonus with the drink, customers will receive a collaboration sticker featuring newly drawn art of Hunter x Hunter characters, as well as a novelty card that reveals its Nen type when submerged in water.
As a reminder, the Hunter x Hunter manga has been receiving updates recently, with the first chapter since 2024 appearing on June 29, 2026. A few other chapters have continued to release weekly since.
The Hunter x Hunter Tsukiji Gindaco takoyaki collaboration will appear between August 18 and November 17, 2026 throughout Japan.
