We will be able to get a physical PS5 copy of Persona 6 even though Sony announced it plans to put an end to retail copies of its games. Sega confirmed Atlus will offer them for that console. This appeared on Sega’s official site discussing news about the Atlus JRPG. [Thanks, Kars!]

While we knew Persona 6 was in the works, Atlus only revealed it officially during Summer Games Fest 2026. A brief teaser showed up during the Xbox showcase. That confirmed it was in the works, a green-themed color scheme, and that it would be on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. It will also be an Xbox Game Pass title when the Atlus and Sega JRPG launches.

It is possible we could see more news about Persona 6 quite soon. It’s currently gamescom 2026 week, with Opening Night Live set to debut on YouTube at 11amPT/2pm ET/8pm CET on August 25, 2026. Tokyo Game Show 2026 is on the way as well. That runs September 17-21, 2026 in Japan. We still don’t know what the protagonists look like, what the story will be, or how gameplay might change for this entry in the Atlus JRPG series.

Persona 6 is in development for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC and it will be possible to get a PS5 physical copy of the game from stores where retail copies are sold.
