Takara Tomy will release a new Synergenex action figure that features a crossover between Transformers and Evangelion. It will open pre-orders for the new product on September 9, 2026. The company made this announcement via the official Japanese social media account of the Transformers franchise, which it also owns in Japan.

This new collaboration will particularly feature a collaboration between Rodimus Prime and Asuka’s Evangelion Unit 02. The former is said to have scanned the latter to take some elements from its design. The resulting unit will have “Evangelion Prime Unit 02” as its name.

As the pre-order window has not opened yet, Takara Tomy has still yet to set up a webpage for this action figure on Takara Tomy Mall. However, based on prior releases like the Back to the Future, Monster Hunter, and Macross 7 crossovers, the company might restrict orders and shipments from its own web store to Japan only. Those residing outside the country will instead have to look for other web stores that support international orders, such as AmiAmi and HobbyLink Japan.

The pre-order window for the Synergenex Transformers action figure of Evangelion Prime Unit 02 will open on September 9, 2026.
