The Final Fantasy VII Famicom bootleg got a notable amount of attention and rightfully so since it Cloud is in it. Even though Titanic raked in over a billion at the box office only Insert Credit is linking to a post about a bootleg game based on the sappy love story. I have to thank Brandon for pointing this out since CinnamonPirate’s report on the game is hilarious.
You play as Jack as you crawl up the decks and try to escape the sinking ship. Try and fail miserably. Jack even misses an opportunity to bail out by stealing a submarine from one of the bosses, which means he dies at the end. Yes, just like the movie. In battle Jack sounds pretty useless too. I agree with the decision not to give him any magic powers because having Jack nuke enemies with fire spells would be extremely out of context. With that said, you can only fight (by punching enemies with a gold ring), use items (eating chocolate recovers HP) and run. They should have given Jack a Sketch command like Relm from Final Fantasy VI.
