Capcom has been cashing out on the compilations right and left. Mega Man Anniversary Collection was a hit and it seems like the Capcom Classics Series is doing fairly well too. Now the series is jumping onto the Game Boy Advance with three classic titles in one package. On the cart are NES ports of Bionic Commando, Strider and Mighty Final Fight. Bionic Commando is an action game where you’re a cyborg with a bionic arm, which is the most notable element in the game. Using the arm you can swing across large gaps and use it as a weapon. Strider gives players the chance to play as Hiryu, an elite fighter with a cypher laser sword. Back in the days Strider was the hallmark of NES action games. It was fast paced, challenging and clever enough to add in an RPG-like system where Strider progressively gained new powers. Mighty Final Fight, the NES version of Final Fight, also jumped on this trend. While punching your way through Metro City, Hagar and his crew leveled up. Since the game came out at the end of the NES’ lifespan few people got to try it out. Maybe when Capcom Classics Collection Mini Mix hits stores later this year these NES titles will gain a new fanbase.
