Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories Is Coming To North America Without Final Mix Plus

The good news is Square Enix isn’t going to leave the PlayStation 2 remake of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories in Japan. We’re going to see it fully localized with Haley Joel Osment reprising his role as Sora on December 2nd. Unfortunately, this release isn’t the same package Japan got. Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories was originally a bonus disc bundled with Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix Plus, an extended version of Kingdom Hearts II with English voice acting. Since we’re getting half the package we’re playing half the price. Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories will only cost $29.99. Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix Plus originally retailed for 7,980 yen ($75 according to today’s exchange rate) when it came out last March.

Square Enix mentions Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories has four mini-games and unless they’re being shuffled for the North American remake all of them are with Winnie the Pooh. Here are videos of Whirlwind Plunge, Veggie Panic, Tigger’s Jump-a-thon, and Balloon Glider.
